For the first time, VMP Chemiekontor exhibited at Vitafoods Europe – right at the premiere of the event’s new location in Barcelona. What was originally planned as a test quickly became a clear decision: We’ll be back!
The main themes of the fair reflected the current challenges and opportunities in the industry. The focus was on functional ingredients with proven benefits for immune function, cognitive performance, and the cardiovascular system, on personalized nutrition concepts tailored to individual needs, as well as on alternative protein sources – an approach gaining increasing importance in both human and pet nutrition. Other key topics were sustainability and clean label & transparency, which have long been central to the industry.
