In order to provide our customers with the best possible raw materials and services, we have organised our activities into the following business units: We have bundled raw materials for the manufacturing chemical industry in the CASE and Chemicals business units – here you will also find our raw materials for the detergent industry; the Life Science division is divided into the Nutrition, Pharma, Personal Care and Pet Food business units.”

Our history
VMP – von Manteuffel und Partner: a name that stands for the tradition and experience of a family business. The roots of VMP go back to the chemist’s shop Germania Drogerie founded by Alfred Kraemer in Siegburg in 1936.
This grew to become the company Kraemer & Martin GmbH, which developed into one of the leading medium-sized chemical distributors in Germany under the leadership of Arp von Manteuffel. After his death, the family business was sold and incorporated into the Azelis Group.
2012
Four long-time companions, Gerhard Meinel, Michael Seimetz, Joachim Fuchs and Ralf Nolte, found VMP Chemiekontor GmbH together with the von Manteuffel family as an alternative business model to large companies driven by corporate strategy. Upon its founding, VMP can already look back on a history in the world of chemical distribution spanning over 70 years. Today, the von Manteuffel family is the fourth generation of VMP shareholders.
2014
The company’s first truck lays the foundation for the company fleet and enables direct and flexible deliveries to customers in the region. Another former colleague, Jochen Panzer, joins VMP and becomes a shareholder.
2016
VMP Chemical Distribution Asia Ltd. is founded in Hong Kong with the aim of establishing closer ties to producers and suppliers in Asia and serving Asian markets.
2018
With the purchase of Lucridis Distribution AG, VMP establishes a foothold in Switzerland. The company fleet is expanded, now including a large truck with a trailer for travelling across Germany and trips to neighbouring countries.
2021
With the acquisition of Quaan GmbH, a Hamburg-based company specialising in CASE raw materials, another member joins the VMP family.
The six shareholders of VMP now collectively combine more than 220 years of experience in various positions in the international chemical trade. Since its foundation, VMP has been on course for growth. However, growth is never an end in itself, but always pursues the goal of offering our customers the best products and solutions.
