Since March 31st 2018 VMP Chemiekontor GmbH takes over the 60 % majority of Lucridis, the swiss trading company for chemicals, natural resources and technology. The remaining 40 % continue to stay in the hands of Managing Director Hans-Peter Brader and two more employees.
This was preceded by a longer loose cooperation between the two companies, that was used to test a possible merger. „We have used the past year to get to know each other, as well as the other business thouroughly. Afterwards, the decision was easly made: Our two businesses perfectly fit together in regards of our coporate concepts, as well as our strategic direction,“ Gerhard Meinel, Managing director of VMP, commends on the takeover. „I expect, that this union will enable us to expand our position in the chemical distribution market, specifically in the DACH region”.

Lucridis complements VMP’S market segements and offers valuable Know-how and potential in technical chemistry at the same time. I am delighted about the successful merger,“ adds Hans-Peter Brader, who will continue acting as the Managing Director and navigate Lucridis Distribution AG’s business.
The founders and current managers of these relatively young companies have gained decades of experience in chemical distribution in large international corporations, before they conciously embarked on new strategic orientations with their own campanies. Fexibility, an attractive raw material portfolio, an uncompromising focus on customer needs and the quality of service are the strengths, that make these two businesses stand out in the market.
